The taglines are officially out for The Real Housewives of Atlanta and so are the boxing gloves. Shamea and Angela go head to head slinging insults at Kelli‘s Balmain charity event and Porsha is beginning to question her friendship with Shamea. Drew has yet to have a conversation with Porsha about working with Dennis as she continues to navigate her messy divorce.
Brit has settled down with Mike, who is reserved and understated- a far from cry her ex Rick Ross. Brit’s focus is on family and she hosts her in-laws, with a little help from her personal assistant and chef to cater to their needs. The family discusses the kid timeline, but first Brit really wants to get that wedding ceremony she was robbed of because of Covid.
Brit confides in Mike’s sister about the importance of family and the loss of her dad in 2015. Brit had to start a GoFundMe after his death and so starting her own insurance agency was important. Brit brought her sisters into the business, and when she decided to sell the company/fire a sister, things got messy.
Porsha and Kelli, an unlikely duo, meet up to try and reset. Kelli knows that her Balmain mommy and me event is just around the corner, so she is trying to make sure things are good with Porsha. Porsha claims that Kelli has different personalities: “loud, louder, loudest” and in her confessional, Kelli retorts, she may have “different personalities but Porsha has different men.”
Kelli claims that Shamea told her to confront Porsha about being with some woman’s man. However, Porsha is having a hard time accepting her bestie would do that. Instead of trying to explain the when and where her relationship started, Porsha throws some strays at Shamea. Porsha does not believe that Shamea would set her up to be ambushed and thinks that Kelli was trolling her. In the end, the air in this “bipolar relationship” gets cleared.
Drew is in the studio, despite having a hoarse voice from filming her horror movie in Puerto Rico. She belts out a tune produced by Dennis as Kenya, Cynthia, and Angela roll up to watch the recording. Sounds a little like a love song, but Drew claims it’s more of a “falling out of love song.”
Kenya asks Drew about Dennis, but Drew outwardly avoids the question. Dennis was supposed to be in the studio today, but he just so happens not to be there today- curious? Drew claims she has a “strict business relationship” with Dennis, yet he is saved in her phone as Dennis Bro and production shades her, showing clips of that chatting on the phone. Also, I thought he was her “angel on Earth?”
Kenya does not think it’s cool that Drew started working with Dennis before talking to Porsha. Drew goes through her timeline of all the times she “tried” to talk to Porsha…but it’s weird that Drew didn’t just pick up the phone and call Porsha. Cynthia talks about the respect part of it, and Kenya points out that Drew is being “talked about like” she’s “a whore.”
Angela still feels like Shamea was doing Porsha’s dirty work when she asked Drew if she was dating Dennis. Angela reminds the group that Shamea stormed away when confronted about it and Drew explains that she has still yet to lock down a time to talk with Porsha about the Dennis of it all. Cynthia warns Drew: “baby daddies hit different.”
Shamea leans on her sisters as she navigates momming. Things are tough for Shamea, as she is unsure what the future holds for her daughters. She is overwhelmed, but still wants to try and expand her family despite her trepidations.
Speaking of trepidations, Charles seems to have cold feet when Angela brings up a potential vow renewal. Their marriage was not always great, especially during 2017 (what exactly DID happen at MSG causing him to get kicked out??). They took some time apart, but have yet to try couples’ therapy since Charles is not so into it. Angela believes that Charles is holding the vow renewal over her head until their house renovation projects are complete.
Drew meets with her attorney and they discuss the upcoming hearing. Ralph’s manipulative and controlling ways are front and center, as he has yet to present his financial documents (probably because he HAS no money), therefore dragging out the divorce even longer. Ralph is a serial cheater who sexts other women and tracks Drew, but she is emotional about the case getting unsealed because then, it is all out there.
Shamea’s daughter is off to get her tonsils out and Shamea is completely oblivious that Porsha and her mom are questioning her motives. Porsha’s mom seems to be talking Porsha out of her friendship with Shamea. Porsha wonders why Shamea would tell her all the girls were talking sh*t when as her friend, Shamea should be trying to make her feel better as she navigates divorce.
This divorce is unlike Porsha’s first one. She is having no luck holding a conversation with Simon and so she is ready to let the court system handle it, especially after Simon’s family disappointed her and did not intervene.
Kelli is hosting her luxury event at Balmain to raise some awareness for osteogenesis imperfecta. Balmain is one of Kelli’s favorite fashion houses and so she is thrilled to be able to close down the store and get some sales for the foundation. The ladies arrive with their matching mini-mes in tow and Porsha is just happy to be on time. She shares the same makeup artist as Drew, and the word is Drew purposely went slow before Porsha to cut Porsha’s glam time down. Petty.
Cynthia tries to talk to Porsha about her divorce and Angela has not seen Shamea since their last run in. Angela is ready to try again, but when Shamea refers to Angela as “the one from the 90’s with the retro nose,” it seems like Shamea is tired of “Angela’s nasty mouth.”
Before the shopping ensues, Kelli explains that three of her four daughters were diagnosed with OI- aka Brittle Bones Disease- and this foundation saved her from CPS hell and gave her some answers.
Drew arrives fashionably late, but is not quite ready to force a convo with Porsha. However, Angela asks to speak with Shamea, and Shamea responds, “I would love to meet Angela and not Drew’s representative.” Shamea calls Angela a mean girl and Angela corrects her, claiming Shamea’s name should be Sha-mean-a instead.
The insults start slinging. Shamea calls Angela 99 nose and Angela calls Shamea Flava Flav since she is out here being Porsha’s Chuck D., doing all the work. Angela tries to remain calm and Shamea moves away, referring to Angela as LaToya Jackson because of her nose, shouting that she needs some glue.
In the meantime, Shamea takes a moment to apologize to Drew for asking about Dennis. The good news is, angry women must spend a lot because $30,000 worth of Balmain sales were made for the foundation.
Before the night wraps, Drew decides NOW would be the best time to chat with Porsha, ya know with their little kids in tow. Porsha realizes that Drew is ready because she brought “Heavy D,” her sister, as back up, but is now really the time to find out Drew’s intentions with Dennis??
