Sherri Shepherd shared a “bittersweet” goodbye with her fans after her daytime talk show officially ended after four years on May 21.
The 59-year-old penned a short but poignant message on Friday, May 22, hinting that while her show may be over, there is much more from her to come.
“Family!!!! Thank you so much for all of the love and support over these last 4 years. It was a bittersweet end to a life I got to know so well,” she wrote on Instagram.
“But here is to new beginnings…if you thought you were sick of me before just you wait,” she concluded.
Sherri included a video of herself walking around the empty studio, starting at the audience seats, before the video cut to previous clips of the section filled with excited guests.
She then walked over to her iconic pink hosting chair before the video played a montage of Sherri sitting in the chair over the years.
Giving one final wave to the empty studio, she picked up her bags at the side of the stage and walked out the door. The video concluded with the message: “Thank you. XO Sherri.”
Syndicated TV production company Debmar-Mercury revealed in a statement in February that Sherri would air its final episode in Fall 2026, after four successful seasons.
“This decision is driven by the evolving daytime television landscape and does not reflect on the strength of the show, its production – which has found strong creative momentum this season – or the incredibly talented Sherri Shepherd,” said Debmar-Mercury co-presidents Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus.

Following the news of the cancelation, Sherri penned on Instagram: “Wow! I am completely overwhelmed by the outpouring of love for me and The @sherrishowtv.
“You might’ve noticed that yesterday and today I was struggling because I wasn’t feeling up to speed. Well it turns out I have Covid,” she continued.

The show, which has been nominated for six Daytime Emmy Awards, debuted in 2022, taking over the time slot of The Wendy Williams Show.
