It’s been almost a decade since Smokey Robinson’s final album, however new music from the King of Motown is on the horizon.
Robinson will launch the nine-track album “Gasms” on April 28, the music legend behind hits like “My Lady” and “The Approach You Do the Issues You Do” introduced Friday.
“Gasms” options new songs produced and written by Robinson himself. The previous vice chairman of Motown Data launched his final collaborative album 9 years in the past, “Smokey & Associates,” which featured musicians like Elton John, John Legend, Steven Tyler and Mary J. Blige.
The upcoming album’s first single, “If We Don’t Have Every Different,” is now accessible on streaming providers.
Robinson is a legendary music producer, songwriter, report label govt and solo musician who’s penned over 4,000 songs and been inducted into the the Rock ‘n’ Roll and Songwriters’ halls of fame.
The musician has labored with different historic Motown artists just like the Temptations, Mary Wells, Brenda Holloway and Marvin Gaye.
Robinson will quickly be honored alongside fellow Motown musician Berry Gordy because the 2023 “Individuals Of The 12 months” on the Recording Academy’s annual MusiCares occasion on Feb. 3 in Los Angeles.
