Donald Trump delivered the longest State of the Union address in history, but he did not acknowledge one of the biggest issues at the moment: the Epstein files! And people are not happy!
The president spoke for a whopping 1 hour and 47 minutes in the House chamber on Tuesday, beating the record he set last year. He covered everything from the economy to foreign affairs, and criticized Democratic lawmakers, but what he didn’t do? Say anything about the Epstein files. Democrats even brought several survivors as guests and wore badges to call out Trump’s handling of the files that read, “Stand with survivors. Release the files.” Still, he did not acknowledge them! WTF!

However, it does not come as a surprise. Trump has been trying to distance himself from the Epstein files, in which his name is reportedly mentioned 38,000 times about his connections to the late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, along with allegations of child rape and more. He has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and even claimed he is “totally exonerated,” which is something independent journalist Aaron Parnas has criticized, saying:
“Donald Trump falsely claimed he was totally exonerated in the Epstein files. That claim is not supported by the public record. The released documents reference Trump, and there has never been a full, transparent investigation that would justify declaring him cleared.”
Trump wants us all to move on from the scandal, but survivors and Democrats are making it clear they won’t back down. The public is, too, especially after the failure to talk about files during the State of the Union. The Democrats’ Threads account posted on Wednesday:
“The longest State of the Union in history, yet Trump made no mention of the Epstein survivors in the room. Shameful.”
Others slammed Trump on the platform, saying:
“Just reminding everyone that multiple Epstein survivors were present for the SOTU tonight and Trump didn’t bother to even mention it.”
“trump inviting a frat-bro hockey team to the same State of the Union where Epstein survivors will be sitting in the same seats just so he can ignore them is peak 2026 energy.”
“The absolute silence on this speaks volumes.”
“Epstein victims / survivors were sitting directly in the gallery at Trumps SOTU, not a single acknowledgment. Not one sentence. Not an ovation. Not even a gesture. Disgraceful.”
“Fun fact: Trump never acknowledged or offered sympathy to Epstein survivors in attendance at SOTU. We all know what’s up.”
Representative Jamie Raskin wrote on X:
“Tonight Donald Trump delivered the longest and most grotesque State of the Union address in American history. He never acknowledged the community of Epstein survivors in attendance who are fighting his Administration’s continuing coverup on behalf of the perpetrators. But America is with the survivors and Trump’s MAGA is sinking like a stone.”
