Luann de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan appeared on Sunday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, where they looked back on the time they spent with Southern Charm‘s Austen Kroll and Craig Conover at BravoCon.
While also naming Ramona Singer as the “rudest to fans” and sharing their favorite Real Housewives of New York City “friend,” Luann and Sonja revealed their thoughts about their former castmates and offered advice to the cast of the reboot. Plus, Luann explained why she made an early exit from Bad Cinderella on Broadway after Andy Cohen asked if Bethenny Frankel prompted the decision.
“I went to that show with Jacques and it wasn’t because of Bethenny that I left the show,” Luann stated on the WWHL: After Show on July 9. “It was because Jacques had a dinner and so he wanted to leave, he didn’t like it very much, the show.”
“But it’s bad manners to leave an opening night,” Andy noted.
“It does look bad. I’m a Bad Cinderella. What can I say?” Luann admitted. “[But] I did not leave because of [Bethenny].”
On the live broadcast of WWHL, a fan wanted to know what Luann thought of her ex-husband, Tom D’Agostino Jr., claiming she was hard to be with because she was two-faced and focused on fame.
“Let’s call him out because what was he doing on my show? What was he doing dating Ramona and Sonja before me?” she asked as Sonja deemed him a “star f-cker.”
“Okay, star f-cker. Let’s call it what it is so there you go,” Luann replied.
Regarding the new cast of RHONY, Luann and Sonja both had some advice.
“Be cool. Don’t be all like, uncool … The little things can take you down, so it’s best to brush them off, chic c’est la vie,” Luann advised, quoting herself.
“Be real. Be yourself and show your true friendships. And keep it moving,” added Sonja.
As for the previous cast of RHONY, Luann and Sonja had a lot to say, with Luann shading Bethenny for having the “worst taste in men” and suggesting Jill Zarin both leaks the most information to Page Six and is the “most overrated Housewife.”
“Jill is gonna kill me,” she noted.
As questions continued, Sonja said Cindy Barshop was her “least favorite RHONY” because “she was so mean,” and they both agreed that Jill had a harder time with her exit than Dorinda Medley — and that they preferred Elyse Slaine over Barbara Kavovit.
They also agreed that Ramona was the “rudest to fans” as Luann accused Cat Ommanney of being the “rudest Bravolebrity.”
“The one from [Real Housewives of D.C.], that Cat girl. She didn’t like … I once upped her on manners,” Luann revealed.
When a fan then asked about Ramona’s boyfriend, Bill, Sonja said her longtime friend “wants to be protective” of the relationship because it’s “a good one.”
“I can tell. I shared a room with her on [Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip], and she was very very secretive but sometimes I heard her on the phone and she was like, ‘Hiiiii baby.’ It was so amazing,” Sonja revealed. “I’m so happy for her because she worked hard to be at the right places at the right time. It takes work. So happy for her.”
As for Luann’s dating life, she said she’s casually dating a couple of guys as Andy questioned her about potential interest in Below Deck Sailing Yacht‘s Chase Lemacks.
“I think he’s very handsome. I don’t know if he’s age-appropriate,” Luan explained.
Then, after Andy suggested that all they had to do was hang out at BravoCon, she added, “Okay, alright, Chase, I’ll take you up on that. He looks very tall and he looks very muscular and hot.”
During another game on the live broadcast, after deeming a number of Bravolebrities “lay-worthy,” including Below Deck Sailing Yacht‘s Gary King, Below Deck Down Under‘s Jason Chambers, Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard‘s Alex Tyree and Amir Lancaster, and saying Joe Giudice is “not really [her] type,” Luann recalled spending time with Austen at BravoCon.
“We hung out once at BravoCon and we kinda exchanged phone numbers … So call me, darling,” Luann advised. “We swapped numbers.”
But according to Sonja, Luann and Austen did more than exchange numbers.
“She swapped spit… I’m sure,” Sonja insisted before sharing, “I did the other one … Craig, the lawyer one. We had a little tête-à-tête.”
Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake airs Sundays at 10/9c on Bravo.
