Corey Feldman is pissed off at the Oscars right now!
According to Dailymail.com on Thursday, the Academy plans to do a tribute to Rob Reiner, who was murdered along with his wife, Michele Reiner, allegedly by their son, Nick Reiner, in December, during the award show on March 15. A source claimed Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal, the stars of the filmmaker’s beloved rom-com When Harry Met Sally, will take part in honoring him, along with Stand By Me actors Jerry O’Connell and Wil Wheaton.

But who wasn’t invited to be in the tribute? Feldman, who also starred in Rob’s 1986 movie Stand By Me! And he is “devastated” by the decision! The insider explained:
“As the Academy starts to unravel their ideas for the Oscars, one thing they have planned is a tribute to Rob Reiner. They are looking to have Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal on stage and also have Jerry O’Connell and Wil Wheaton from Stand By Me to be a part of the tribute. One person currently left off is Corey Feldman, and Corey is devastated that he hasn’t been asked to be a part of the tribute. He loved Rob and expected to be asked, especially since Jerry and Wil were asked.”
What made the snub especially “heartbreaking” for Corey is that he is currently touring with Jerry and Wil to honor Stand By Me’s 40th anniversary. To invite them and not the DWTS alum, the source said, just feels like a huge “slap in the face” to him:
“The night should be about Rob and honoring him and Corey wants nothing more than to honor Rob, and the fact that he currently isn’t allowed is an absolute slap in the face. Even if he wasn’t on the stage, he’d love to be there, to honor Rob.”
The insider said it is unknown to Corey or his former co-stars why he wasn’t included. They even reportedly “have reached out to the Academy for some answers,” but “they have been met with silence.” Uh oh. The source continued:
“Jerry and Wil feel bad for their buddy and have tried to reason with the Academy that Stand By Me was an ensemble and Corey should be a part of the tribute, but that currently doesn’t seem to be the case for organizers and they are looking to snub him out.”
And this isn’t the first slap in the face that Corey felt from the Oscars! The source also mentioned The Goonies star believed the Academy “snubbed” his pal Corey Haim in the In Memoriam after his 2010 death, adding:
“This is yet another black eye for the Academy in Corey’s eye.”
Oof. The Oscars are already off to a dramatic start.
