EXCLUSIVE: Joe Keery has signed with CAA.
The actor will next be seen closing out his role as Steve Harrington in the highly anticipated final season of Netflix’s Stranger Things from Matt and Ross Duffer. Strangers Things premieres on Nov. 26. Keery has played Steve Harrington across 42 episodes, that includes the most upcoming season.
He most recently starred in the latest season of the FX Noah Hawley limited series Fargo as Gator Tillman.
The Newburyport, Mass native’s feature credits include the Shawn Levy directed, Ryan Reynolds starring Free Guy which was a hit post Covid grossing $330 million around the globe, and was also nominated for an Oscar in the VFX category.
Keery also has a thriving music career, performing under the moniker DJO. His single “End of Beginning” has 1.7 billion streams on Spotify and inspired more than 3.9 million user-created TikTok videos, rising to No. 1 on the TikTok Billboard Top 50 chart last year. He is currently on tour in support of his most recent album, The Crux, which has sold over 120,000 tickets in North America and includes performances at Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Austin City Limits. CAA’s Music Touring department has represented Keery since 2019.
Early breakthrough roles for Keery included the Fox series Empire and NBC’s Chicago Fire. Keery also starred in Aaron Sorkin’s feature directorial debut, Molly’s Game opposite Jessica Chastain, Idris Elba and Kevin Costner which saw Sorkin’s script notch an Oscar nomination in the Adapted Screenplay category.
