Millie Bobby Brown has revealed that she felt “safe” on set filming Stranger Things alongside David Harbour despite bullying accusations.
The 21-year-old actress opened up about filming “intense” scenes with the actor, who plays her on-screen adoptive father Jim Hopper, in a new interview with Deadline.
“Of course I felt safe, I mean, we’ve worked together for 10 years. I feel safe with everyone on that set,” she told the publication.
“You naturally just… you know, you’ve been doing it for so long. We also play father and daughter so naturally, we have a closer bond than the rest because we have had some really intense scenes together, especially in Season 2.”
Brown continued, noting that she and Harbour have become really close during their time filming the show’s five seasons.
“David and I have a great relationship, we work really closely together in the scenes and preparing for the scenes and I really am excited to see – for everyone to see the labour of love and hard work we’ve put into the closure of our relationship and what that looks like,” she continued.
“Especially the Hopper and Eleven fans. Those scenes that I feel, I think, are going to be quite impactful. I love it. It makes me want to bring my A-game every single time I see that I’m on the call sheet working with him because I know he’s bringing it right back.”

The comments about feeling safe and her close bond with Harbour come weeks after it was reported that she had filed a bullying and harassment claim against the 50-year-old actor before filming Season 5 of the Netflix series in 2024.
“Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season,” a source told the Daily Mail.
“There were pages and pages of accusations. The investigation went on for months.”
Harbour reportedly faced an internal investigation over her claims, though the outcome of the investigation is unknown.

Neither Brown or Harbour have addressed the bullying accusations, but put on a united front as they walked the red carpet for the premiere of Season 5 of the hit Netflix series.
While talking to the media on the red carpet, Harbour happily answered a question asked about his co-star.
”I adore [Millie] and I’ve been proud to watch all of them grow up and become such great artists,” he told Entertainment Tonight.
“I doubt it’ll be the last time we’ll see each other in this world or work together and it’s great that there could be fresh opportunities to do that in different ventures
“This particular family and this particular project has been so special and we’ve gotten to know each other so deeply.”
