British singer FKA twigs has issued an apology to fans after being forced to cancel three shows of her North American tour due to visa issues.
The hitmaker, 37, shared a video with fans saying how “heartbroken” she is over the news, but promising to reschedule the shows for a later date.
The musician, whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, has been performing shows as part of her Eusexua tour.

Speaking in her video, she told fans that while she’s loved performing and the creativity of it all, “behind the scenes practically it has been challenging with production and the more practical side of putting this tour together”.
“So today I was informed that production did not fill out the correct paperwork in a timely manner for us to have our visas to come to the USA and perform,” she said.
“That means that by no choice of my own I will have to pull out of my New York, Chicago and Toronto shows.

“For those of you who are wondering why I have to pull out of Toronto because it’s not part of the United States, it’s because of routing and just the complex beast that touring is.”
The singer was meant to perform in Chicago on March 26, Canada on March 30 and New York next week.

She said how “devastated” she is over the news and promised to reschedule the shows.
“I don’t take this lightly, I am completely devastated to be honest with you, I am heartbroken. All I wanted to do is be there with you and bring Eusexua to you.”

She added that America ”feels like a home away from home” and said she hopes the news doesn’t affect her fans too much in terms of their travel plans to make her shows.
“This is just such a huge blow and I feel super let down… I will be rescheduling these shows and information will be coming on that very shortly.”

FKA twigs is known for songs including Holy Terrain, Tears in the Club and Cellophane.
She is meant to hit the stage to perform at Coachella music festival in April and in Mexico that month.
Before cancelling those three shows, she performed in the likes of the UK, Germany and France.
