Paramount+ has released the trailer for Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles season two, revealing the small screen continuation of Mutant Mayhem will return this December.
Created by Chris Yost and Alan Wan, the first season of Tales of the TMNT was released on Paramount+ on August 9, 2024, and consisted of 12 episodes divided into two, six-part storylines. It featured Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas Cantu, Brady Noon, and Ayo Edebiri all reprising their respective roles from the film as Donatello, Michelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael, and April O’Neil. Season two’s release will coincide with the new theatrical short Chrome Alone 2, which’ll be attached to The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants on December 19, and the IDW comic launching next week on October 15.
Additionally, Paramount and Nickelodeon have launched the website The World of TMNT, showcasing every major incarnation of the turtles to date, including the original and IDW comics series. Rebecca Mall, President of Cross Company Initiatives, Franchise, and Corporate Marketing at Paramount, says, “With the launch of World of TMNT, we’re inviting fans to experience the full power of the franchise like never before. This is more than nostalgia. It’s a bold celebration of every era of Turtle storytelling. From comics to screen to collectibles, TMNT continues to evolve while staying true to the heart of what makes these heroes so iconic.”
The website will be accompanied by the documentary podcast Iconic Origins: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, in which YouTube comedian Ben of the Week (Benjamin De Almeida), 26, will chronicle the characters’ history across eight episodes. The series, which will feature new interviews with TMNT creators, artists, and voice actors, will premiere on all major audio platforms sometime later this month.
World of TMNT will be present at this week’s New York Comic Con, with photo ops, and panels:
