It’s official: Taylor Swift is bringing her Eras Tour to Australia.
After watching the show tour around North America for the last three months, Australians finally have the chance to see it with their own eyes. But getting tickets isn’t going to be easy! Swift is only playing shows in two cities, and seats are going to be in high demand – just look at the panic that came with the American Express website crashing during their exclusive pre-sale on June 26.

Ticketek expecting 10 times amount of traffic for Frontier Touring sale
We all know that the American Express website crashed during their exclusive pre-sale, which directed fans to the Ticketek website to purchase VIP packages – but the Ticketek website held strong during the panic on June 26.
Today at 10am AEST for the Sydney shows and at 2pm AEST for the Melbourne shows, however, Ticketek is expecting 10 times the amount of traffic than they saw on June 26 – and this is just the Frontier Touring pre-sale, not the general public sale on June 30.
Ticketek encourages fans to remember that queuing is not their enemy, and emphasises not to leave the Lounge page or refresh their browser while they’re waiting.

“Queuing is a necessary part of the purchasing process. A way of ensuring fair access to tickets for all fans,” a Ticketek spokesperson told 9Honey Celebrity in a statement.
“Fans must remember to not leave the Lounge page or refresh their browser. The page will refresh itself frequently to let more fans through to purchase,” the statement continued.
“Once fans are in the Lounge, they should sit tight and wait to be let through to the event page. And then once they’re through they need to remember to keep an eye on the timer and complete their purchase within the time frame.”

Tips from Ticketek for the Frontier Touring pre-sale and general sale
Before tickets go on-sale:
- Double check your Ticketek account and payment details are up to date. Have your login details handy as you’ll need them to complete your purchase.
- If you are a Frontier Member, save your pre-sale code. This will be sent to you by Frontier Touring and will be needed to access the Frontier Pre-sale.
- Gather your fellow fans and plan your purchase by agreeing on the performance date, ticket price category and any packages you want to purchase.
When tickets go on-sale:
- Visit Ticketek at least 15 minutes prior to tickets going on sale. Follow the designated link for your desired city to be taken to the Ticketek Lounge.
- Please don’t leave the Lounge page or refresh your browser. The page will refresh itself frequently to let more fans through to purchase. Once you’re in the Lounge, sit tight and wait to be let through to the event page.
- Once you’re through, keep an eye on the timer and complete your purchase within the time frame.

Which Australian cities is Taylor Swift playing?
In a shock move, Swift is only playing her shows in two cities: Sydney and Melbourne.
The last time she visited Australia, for 2018’s Reputation tour, the singer held concerts in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Auckland.
For her 1989 tour, she also played shows in Adelaide.
The choice to omit so many Australian cities has angered Swift fans, especially as she has announced such a long list of European and North American dates.
When do Taylor Swift tickets go on sale?
The general sale for the Australian dates of the Eras Tour go on sale Friday 30 June – but there are two pre-sales for select groups.
The American Express VIP Package pre-sale was meant to run for 48 hours from Monday 26 June. The sale started at 10am for Sydney tickets and 2pm for Melbourne tickets, but the allocation was exhausted within eight hours.
There is a second pre-sale for Frontier Members that runs for 24 hours from Wednesday 28 June (10am Sydney and 2pm Melbourne) or until the pre-sale allocation is exhausted.
The general ticket sale begins on Friday 30 June, at 10am for Sydney tickets and 2pm for Melbourne tickets.
A limited number of tickets can be purchased per customer: Four tickets per customer, per show.
How much will Taylor Swift tickets be?
Regular tickets for the Eras Tour in Australia start at $379.90. There will also be VIP ticket packages available to purchase.
As a general guide, here are the ticket prices for seat only:

- B Reserve – $309.90
- C Reserve – $239.90
- D Reserve – $199.90
- E Reserve – $159.90

When is Taylor Swift coming to Australia?
Swift is playing five shows in Australia in February, 2023 – two in Melbourne and three in Sydney.
