Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl Release Party in Theaters

The 35-year-old also shared how much her forthcoming album differs from her last, The Tortured Poets Department, which she described as a “data dump of everything I’ve thought, felt or experienced in two or three years.”

Conversely, Taylor said The Life of a Showgirl will only consist of 12 tracks she called “infectious anthems.” Additionally, she said limiting herself to only a dozen song allowed her to keep “the bar really high,” leaving the album “just right.”

“It just comes from the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in in my life,” she added, “so that effervescence has come through on this record.”  

As for which of the songs on the album is Travis’ favorite? That honor lies with “Opalite.”
