The live-action stage play adaptation of Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away is getting a Blu-ray release later this year, giving fans an all-new way to experience Hayao Miyazaki’s classic story.
Spirited Away: Live on Stage was directed and adapted by the Tony Award-winning theater director John Caird and features “dazzling sets, captivating musical numbers, and wondrous puppets of beloved characters” from the original movie. The Blu-ray features two live performances from two different casts, both filmed during the play’s acclaimed 2022 run at the Imperial Theatre in Tokyo, Japan.
Spirited Away: Live on Stage will be released on Blu-ray on November 14. Preorders are available for $30 at Amazon.
