The Big Bang Theory characters are imagined as CGI characters in new CGI art. A classic CBS sitcom, The Big Bang Theory ran on the network for 12 seasons from 2007 to 2019. The show featured a multi-Emmy nominated cast including Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Melissa Rauch, Mayim Bialik, Kevin Sussman, and Carol Ann Susi.
Now, new AI art from @the_ai_dreams imagines The Big Bang Theory as a Pixar-esque animated film. In the art, The Big Bang Theory main characters of Howard, Sheldon, Leonard, Raj, Bernadette, Amy, Penny, and Stuart are transformed into animated figures. As in a Pixar film, the cast is given big eyes and smoothed skin in their transition to CGI form.
This AI art renders the Big Bang Theory team to varying levels of success. The women of the show, Bernadette and Amy, look relatively sweet and friendly in their animated transformations. Sheldon, however, looks far more disconcerting in the CGI version, as he looks very little like Parsons himself. Leonard is the one who looks perhaps the most true to Galecki himself, sporting floppy hair and glasses.
Where is The Big Bang Theory Cast Now?
Looking at the CGI images of The Big Bang Theory crew is a good reminder of the strength of the cast. Two former co-stars recently had a TV reunion in the series Night Court. Playing judge Abby Stone, Rauch is the main star for Night Court. Nayyar recently appeared in a guest role in Night Court season 2, bringing the stars back together again.
Cuoco’s career has also had decent success in the wake of The Big Bang Theory. The actress played the lead role of Cassie Bowden in the hit HBO series The Flight Attendant. Cuoco was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a comedy series twice for this role. Since The Big Bang Theory, she has also had roles as a voice actress in the series Harley Quinn and played parts in films such as Meet Cute and Role Play.
Parsons played a role in the acclaimed Netflix series Hollywood, as well as leading the film Spoiler Alert. He also appeared in the finale of Young Sheldon, as the adult version of his beloved character. Bialik went on to host a stint on Jeopardy! up until she was fired from the show in 2023. Helberg and Galecki’s careers have been quieter post-TBBT, with Helberg appearing in two episodes of Poker Face. Galecki has not appeared in anything in the last four years. AI art like this is a great reminder of the strength the Big Bang Theory cast had together.
