Cristiano Ronaldo proposed to his fiancee Georgina Rodriguez with an absolute whopper of an engagement ring this week, sparking many a conversation.
Brisbane-based jewellery designer Nick Ireland told 9honey, “I think it’s somewhere around 30 carats in size, I would’ve thought by looking at the photo.”
“[The stone] might be [worth] around $5 million, but there are some variables that could affect that price.”

The D colour grade flawless diamond is a “beautiful, big oval-cut diamond”, Ireland added.
“I think the diamonds underneath look like they might be oval cuts … it appears that there are some smaller side stones underneath.”
Seeing the approximately 15 gram heavy ring has made us think back to all of the other extraordinary rings we have seen in the past on the hands of the world’s biggest stars.

Ka’oir did the same, showing the huge oval rock in a claw setting with diamonds set in the band.
According to Pristine Jewelers Ben Shimon and Avi Davidov who created the ring, it is the biggest diamond in the game and it took them 45 days to make after it was commissioned, according to BET.

In return, Ka’oir also gifted her husband a massive 35 carat diamond pinky ring in a teardrop shape.
“Well Damn my wife just froze my pinky 35ct Brrrrrrr” he wrote on Instagram, sharing a close-up video.
The couple often don their couple rings at basketball games, flashing them in their courtside seats.
