The Boys’ Soldier Boy is clearly impressed by Marvel’s final do-gooder hero, Captain America. When Cap first reappeared in The Avengers #4 again within the Sixties, he’d solely been trapped in suspended animation for about 20 years. Soldier Boy, however, has been MIA for 35 years — and so his tradition shock is far more intense. Plus, he’s from the Eighties, so his values are very totally different from Captain America’s, who got here of age combating towards the evil Nazis in World Conflict II.
That’s simply one of many many Easter eggs, hidden comics references, and little particulars you might need missed in Episode 5 of Season 3 of The Boys.
