Though perhaps the biggest issue people have with the film is that Andy Muschietti is currently attached as the director.
Andy Muschietti has done plenty of films, including the beloved IT duology. Yet fans of the DC Universe likely know him for being the director of The Flash– one of the most hated films in the franchise’s history. While fans at the time praised his direction for scenes featuring Batman (perhaps an omen for his future role with Batman: The Brave and The Bold), there remains a general unease about his ability to pull together a compelling superhero narrative.

When asked about this about this by a fan named Gotham2739 on social media, Andy Muschietti confirmed that he was still tapped to direct the DC Universe film, even if it’s not likely to enter production anytime soon. The director also seemed to imply that he was aware of the story planned for Batman: The Brave and The Bold.
While potentially disappointing to some fans, it’s important to note that the director is far from the most important person on a movie. They are vital, of course, and Andy Muschietti will have a large influence on the visuals and tone of Batman: The Brave and The Bold. But just as much so, the writer, set designers, and actors will all bring their take to the long awaited DC Universe film.
