EXCLUSIVE: Fox‘s The Cleaning Lady has added Patricia De Leon (Lioness, Mayans M.C.), Robert Cicchini (Dreamgirls) and Lea Salonga (Old Friends, Miss Saigon) for Season 4. The series returns on Tuesday, March 25 at 8-9 PM ET/PT.
The series follows Thony De La Rosa (Élodie Yung), a Cambodian-Filipino former surgeon who makes a living as a cleaning service worker alongside her sister-in-law, Fiona (Martha Millan). After witnessing a murder, Thony is offered a job both as a cleaner and a doctor within a criminal organization that could pay well enough to help her son and her family.
Cicchini will appear as a recurring guest star as Assistant District Attorney ‘Joel Herman,’ a thorough investigator with a disarming, easy-going personality. He catches Thony off-guard at the hospital, but Joel insists that he is here to help, believing her to be under pressure from the cartel.
De Leon will appear as a recurring guest star as ‘Chiqui,’ the prison boss of the Mexican Mafia who is described as imposing, threatening and domineering. Amused when flexing her power, she is fawned over by her crew, who pamper her like a queen.
Salonga will appear as a guest star in Episode 402 “Le Medecin” as ‘Rose,’ a former acquaintance of Fiona’s (Martha Millan) who has married rich and now takes every opportunity she can to boast about giving back to her community. When paying Fiona for her cleaning services, the snide comments become unbearable.
Salonga most recently starred in the West End production of Old Friends, which will be making its way to Broadway this spring and Here Lies Love on Broadway, which she also produced. She is best known for her Tony Award Award-winning role in Miss Saigon, where she made history as the first Asian woman to play ‘Eponine’ on Broadway. She is also recognized as the singing voice of ‘Princess Jasmine’ from Aladdin and ‘Fa Mulan’ from Mulan and Mulan II. Her TV and film appearances include Max’s Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin and Sony’s Yellow Rose and can be heard on Netflix’s Centaurworld and FX’s Little Demon.
Cicchini has appeared in the films Dreamgirls, The Godfather Part III, Six Feet Under, and Murder In The First. He is repped by Allegory Creative Talent and DiSante Frank and Company.
De Leon can currently be seen on Season 2 of Paramount+’s Lioness and previously heavily recurred on FX’s Mayans M.C. She has also recurred on ABC’s Station 19 and Max’s Genera+ion. On the big screen, she had a supporting role opposite Abigail Spencer and Matthew Lillard in Mark Robert Ellis’ One Heart.
