The Fantastic Four may be setting up some multiversal stakes! A rumor teases a new universe and the birth of Franklin Richards.
One of the biggest rumors surrounding The Fantastic Four is the inclusion of Sue Storm and Reed Richard’s son Franklin Richards (And, to a lesser extent, his twin sister Valeria). Details about the character have obviously been sparse considering he isn’t even confirmed to be in the movie, but a new rumor suggests he may have one of the wildest introductions in the entire MCU.
According to scooper CanWeGetSomeToast, Sue Storm will be pregnant at the start of The Fantastic Four. At some point throughout the film, the character will give birth to her children. However, it won’t be in a hospital setting, but rather in the cold vacuum of space! Perhaps this could be where Franklin Richards receives his powers, similar to his parents getting their own abilities from cosmic rays.
The Fantastic Four Travels The Multiverse
Franklin Richards won’t be the only new addition to the MCU coming in The Fantastic Four. CanWeGetSomeToast also revealed that the film will be taking place in an entirely new universe instead of the usual Sacred Timeline. While the scooper didn’t reveal what Earth number will be used for The Fantastic Four, it was described as having a retro-futuristic aesthetic, with the space race being a large influence on the film.
This aesthetic certainly aligns with previous promotional materials put out by the film which seem to suggest The Fantastic Four will be taking place sometime in the 1960s. Though if this rumor is to be believed, the aesthetic may match closer to a pre-war Fallout than anything from the world as we know it.
Fantastic Four opens on July 25, 2025. Stay tuned for all the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
