The Weeknd made one little boy very glad throughout the celebrity’s rescheduled After Hours Til Daybreak tour opener in Philadelphia on Thursday (July 14).
Megafan Phoenix Prince, 6, went viral on social media final week after he was photographed crying outdoors of the Toronto venue the place The Weeknd was scheduled to launch his long-awaited stadium trek. The July 8 live performance at Rogers Centre was canceled on the final minute due to a nationwide community outage, leaving many followers sharing their disappointment on-line.
Shortly after the cancellation, The Weeknd retweeted a snapshot of the devastated Prince — who even donned a purple blazer and black tie, identical to his idol — being comforted by his father outdoors of the power. “Can somebody please discover him for me?” the singer captioned his tweet.

The Weeknd managed to get in contact with the boy’s household and flew Prince out to his Philly live performance at Lincoln Monetary Subject on Thursday, Billboard confirms. The kid’s dad, Blake Prince, took to Instagram after the present to share a candy backstage picture of his “Starboy” being embraced by The Weeknd.
“I wouldn’t be capable of put this final week into phrases if I attempted,” the daddy wrote alongside the lovely pic. “We’re without end grateful for this second.
