On Sunday, multiple outlets cited Los Angeles County Medical Examiner records in reporting the actor, who appeared in the Sinister and It franchises, died of suicide on Friday. Tragically, his cause of death was listed as “hanging,” while his place of death was listed as “shed,” according to online M.E. records.
How incredibly awful.
According to TMZ, the Los Angeles Police Department completed a death investigation report and as of now, no foul play is suspected.
In the wake of his death, The Black Phone actor’s wife Jamie McPhee has posted a link to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) on her social media profile, according to multiple outlets. Together, James and Jamie share two children.
We’re at a loss of words. We’re sending so much love Jamie’s way. Our hearts are with all of James’ loved ones during this unimaginably difficult time. Rest in peace.
