Travis Kelce made all our hearts melt when he threw up a hand heart in Taylor Swift‘s direction right in the middle of Sunday night’s game — but, um, he’s now suggesting it wasn’t even meant for her? Excuse us?!?!
In Wednesday’s episode of Travis and Jason Kelce‘s podcast New Heights, the Kansas City Chiefs star explained what inspired him to switch from his signature “point and arrow” move to his girlfriend’s famous heart hand to celebrate scoring a touchdown against the Buffalo Bills. Keeping it simple at first, the 34-year-old dished:
“Yeah, man, had to spread the love, baby. Always got to spread that love, baby.”

Hah! While the move was seemingly done in the direction of the pop star and the entire Kelce family, who watched the game together in a VIP box, Travis now clarifies it was really a sign for all his haters in the stadium!

Getting candid about an unsavory incident before the game, he revealed that some Bills supporters “understandably” greeted him with “a lot of hate” when he showed up to the stadium. After his big brother reminded him “it’s supposed to be” competitive, Trav went on:
“It’s a football game. … The Bills, coming into their house, they want to make it rowdy. Did it get a little disrespectful? 1,000%. 1,000%. Did they get a little extra? 1,000%.”
But when pressed to spill the tea and reveal the s**t talk, the athlete wouldn’t get into it, noting:
“I’m not going to say because that’s what they want. They want to feel… I’m not going to relay it. But some things were said about the family, some pretty inappropriate things were said about [teammate Patrick] Mahomes. It was, it was pretty wack.”
Jeez! Sounds like they took some low blows! They better not have said anything about our girl TayTay!! Regardless, Travis wasn’t holding a grudge!! He added:
“I get it, I get it. Coming into a hostile environment, I respect it. But I just wanted to make sure they knew it wasn’t mutual. I don’t hate you guys like you hate us. It’s all love. It’s all love, baby.”
Looks like he’s taking some pointers from his girlfriend’s bestie Selena Gomez with the Kill Em with Kindness mindset! Funny enough, the Eagles player — who was schmoozing with fans while shirtless as he celebrated the tight end’s plays — totally disagreed with the whole us vs. them narrative, chiming in:
“They don’t hate us. I was with them, they love you!”
LOLz! Of course, they didn’t hate Jason — he wasn’t on the field helping to crush the home team 27-24, booting them off the road to the SuperBowl. Just sayin’! See the full podcast (below):
Love it… though we still think at least some of that heart was meant for his Lover! Reactions?! Sound OFF (below)!
