Kayla Nicole is finally addressing her offensive tweets!
Earlier this month, the sports journalist came under fire after Swifties uncovered a slew of homophobic, fatphobic, and racist posts on X (Twitter). All of this came after Kayla threw shade at her ex-boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and Taylor Swift with her Toni Braxton Halloween costume this year. However, Kayla swore it was not her intention to take a jab at anyone, and she’s “not in the business of tearing other women down.” At least not anymore. It appears she did plenty of that and more back in the day.

WTF!
Amid the backlash, Kayla deleted her account — but not before leaving a brief statement that read:
“I’m taking some time to step away.”
The social media personality then remained silent on the controversy… until now. Kayla took to Instagram Stories on Thursday to issue an apology, saying she is “ashamed” over her problematic tweets:
“I want to take a moment to sincerely apologize for the hurtful tweets I posted so many years ago. Seeing them resurface last week has been incredibly difficult, and reading them now, I’m ashamed that I ever thought or spoke that way. They were ignorant, hurtful and completely wrong.”
Kayla went on to say she got rid of her X account because she doesn’t want to “contribute to a cycle of hate” any longer:
“The woman I am today would never use those words or express those kinds of views. Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand how cruel and harmful online hate can be, and I would never want to add to that world of pain in any form. I have since deleted those tweets and my X account entirely, because I refuse to keep that energy alive or contribute to a cycle of hate.”
Concluding the lengthy post, the Pre-Game podcast host said she is taking “full responsibility” for what happened and acknowledged those she hurt with her words:
“I take full responsibility for what I posted, and I’m truly sorry to anyone I may have hurt. My heart, values and perspective are completely rooted in empathy, love, and respect for others. I can’t change the past, but I will continue showing through my actions who I’ve become and what I stand for today.”
At least Kayla eventually owned up to it. See the post (below):
