Just days after making a surprise cameo in a Saturday Night Live sketch alongside Paul Mescal, YouTube star Trisha Paytas announced that she’ll cross off another bucket-list item: Broadway.
The one-night-only “musical theater extravaganza” Trisha Paytas’ Big Broadway Dream, benefitting the Entertainment Community Fund, will take place at Broadway’s St. James Theatre on Monday, February 3, and livestreamed on StagePilot.
“I couldn’t be more thrilled,” Paytas said in a statement. “Of all my dreams, this one is the biggest. I didn’t know how it would happen, but I always felt it would…Hopefully it’s just the beginning of my New York adventure.”
Produced by Kobi Kassal and Benson Drive Productions, the event promises “epic musical numbers, surprise special guests, and maybe even Broadway’s first live mukbang (look it up, Broadway League) but stay to celebrate big dreams and the wild, winding roads we take to make them real.”
Trisha Paytas’s Big Broadway Dream will be directed by Skylar Fox and choreographed by Sarah Meahl. SThe production is “fiscally sponsored” by Producer Hub, and produced by Kobi Kassal (Editor-in-Chief, Theatrely) and Benson Drive Productions (George Strus, CEO) in association with Carson Gleberman and Caitlin Berg.
The singer-performer-podcaster Paytas boasts millions of views of her Just Trish Podcast YouTube channel.
Paytas is represented by CAA.
