Tucker Carlson Completely Denounces Trump & Urges Military To Refuse Mad Orders: ‘It’s Time To Say No’

This is not the kind of political breakup anyone expected to see play out so publicly, and certainly not with stakes this high.

Tucker Carlson, once one of the most loyal and influential media allies of Donald Trump, is now speaking out in a way that feels less like commentary and more like a line being drawn in real time. And the tone is somber, urgent, and deeply alarmed.

The fracture centers around Trump’s explosive Easter message directed at Iran, posted to Truth Social just as tensions escalated over the Strait of Hormuz. In that post from Sunday morning, the president issued a warning that stunned even longtime supporters, by swearing and threatening military action against civilian infrastructure if Iran failed to act:

“Open the F***in’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell — JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah.”

For Carlson, that message wasn’t just inappropriate, but dangerous. Speaking on his eponymous talk show on Monday, Tucker didn’t hold back. But there was no glee here, no theatrical outrage. Instead, there was something quieter and more serious underneath it all — like someone realizing a relationship they once trusted has gone somewhere they can’t follow.

Carlson began by saying:

“Who do you think you are? You’re tweeting out the f-word on Easter morning?”

That question hung in the air, and Carlson didn’t rush past it. He dug deeper, focusing not just on the language but what he saw as a deeper recklessness, particularly when it came to religion and the implications of mocking it on a global stage:

“So, obviously you’re mocking the religion of Iran. OK. If you seek a religious war, that’s a good idea. But by the way, no decent person mocks other people’s religions. You may have a problem with the theology. Presumably, you do if it’s not your religion, and you can explain what that is. But to mock other people’s faith is to mock the idea of faith itself. And we should never mock that because at its core is the acknowledgement that we are not in charge of the universe. We did not build it. We won’t be here at the end of it. We can destroy life. We cannot create it because we are not God.”

It’s a striking pivot for Carlson, who has built much of his career on sharp, often combative rhetoric. But here, the message was reflective, almost philosophical, as he warned against what he sees as the moral and strategic consequences of escalating conflict in this way. The talk show host continued:

“The message of all faith at the biggest picture level is the message in our Bible, which is you are not God. And only if you think you are, do you talk this way. But it’s not just mockery of Islam. And no president should mock Islam. That’s not your job. This is not a theocracy. We don’t go to war with other theocracies to find out which theocracy is more effective. We are not a theocracy. And God willing, we never will be because theocracies corrupt the religion.”

This isn’t coming out of nowhere. The tension between Carlson and Trump has been quietly building, especially after disagreements over previously floated military actions like the strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities and Carlson’s broader criticism of what he has called an “absolutely disgusting and evil” war. Furthermore, Tucker’s other recent clashes with figures like Ted Cruz only underscored how far he’s drifted from the GOP’s more hawkish voices.

But what truly set this moment apart was how Carlson chose to end his remarks. It wasn’t just criticism. It was a call to action… and one that raised eyebrows and, for some, serious concern. Tucker concluded:

“Now it’s time to say no, absolutely not, and say it directly to the president, no.”
