A TikToker suggested Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Whitney Rose was involved in an alleged MLM scheme, and she claimed that the company is full of “scammers.”
Multi-level marketing (MLM) is a system in which people sell products while recruiting others to sell the same stuff. This isn’t illegal, but some MLMs are essentially pyramid schemes.
In early October, TikTok influencer @carlyesquerra made viral videos suggesting Whitney is involved in an MLM.
“It all started when I joined a brand new network marketing company ‘led’ by Whitney Rose & Ashley Headlee called Sol People,” said Carly.
Carly claimed she “entered into the business during the pre-launch phase,” and then she asked her friends to also join. Everything related to her earnings, management, and products seemed right — until things allegedly started to shift.
“2 of my leads left the company … They had personal convictions based on some of the digital courses,” Carly explained, claiming that she had text exchanges with Whitney to regroup after the leads exited. The TikToker then shared screenshots of the purported messages of them attempting to coordinate meetings virtually.
According to Carly, her team signed on to attend a conference for Sol People, but it then got rescheduled unexpectedly – with non-refundable, transferrable tickets. The business allegedly didn’t refund the hotel accommodations and plane tickets that Carly’s team bought, but they were given product credit worth $100 as consolation.
Not long after, two of the top leaders purportedly exited the company.

“Safe to say when top leaders making $20k in a month leave – there’s more to the story…” wrote the influencer, who also shared that she got a TikTok assumedly about the company. “I am in utter shock at the … behind the scenes of this business and the track record of these people.”
“I would have never known to look into this stuff,” Carly continued. “And now that I’m learning about it, I am mind-blown. Basically, every single person within this business of sōl people are like scammers.”
Despite the doubts, she believes Whitney is being honest and perhaps was “[dragged] along,” but Carly assumes that the star was “in on all the knowledge.”
She also alleged that Whitney’s husband had previous experience with companies that were prosecuted.

Carly’s statements are allegations, and no proof has been given that Whitney, the company, or her husband were involved in any crime.
