If you missed Miley Cyrus’s 2014 Bangerz Tour, that might have been the last chance to see her perform live at an arena.
In a new interview with British Vogue, the “FU” singer, 30, expressed she no longer has a “desire” to do large-scale tours.
“After the last [headline tour] I did, I kind of looked at it as more of a question,” Miley shared, referring to Bangerz. “And I can’t.”
“Not only can’t,” she continued, “because can’t is your capability, but my desire. Do I want to live my life for anyone else’s pleasure or fulfillment other than my own?”
Miley said that if she’s gonna perform, she would prefer it to be in an intimate setting instead of an arena. “Like, singing for hundreds of thousands of people isn’t really the thing that I love. There’s no connection. There’s no safety.”
“It’s also not natural,” she added. “It’s so isolating because if you’re in front of 100,000 people, then you are alone.”
This means a tour for her latest album Endless Summer Vacation is unlikely, but fans should at least be able to catch her performing at different shows and venues.
Whatever she needs to do for herself and her personal fulfillment. <3
