Robert Irwin has confirmed he’s single and ready to mingle but in news that will break millions of hearts, he’s only looking for an American girl right now.
The 21-year-old Aussie made the comments about his love life after coming off the dancefloor on the US version of Dancing With The Stars, alongside partner Witney Carson who is helping in his search.
She joked there’s an intense screening process, which could see the bubbly TV personality “single forever”.
“We are still looking for the American girl,” Irwin told E! News.
Carson asked prospective young women to contact her via social media and she would discuss them with Irwin’s older sister, Bindi Irwin.
“You have to kind of go through a screening process, so submit your applications through my DMs [direct messages], and then I will forward them to Bindi, and then we will see about the American tourist,” Carson said.
Her comment prompted Irwin to add: “I’ve got another protective older sister now”.

So, what is the handsome Bonds underwear model hoping to find in his ideal girlfriend?
“I think, more than anything else, just genuine kindness, that’s so important,” Irwin said.
“I think you need to surround yourself with people who are genuinely kind.
“And also, my life is a whirlwind, it’s an adventure and I would love to be able to share that with someone and to share those little moments.”
Irwin added that he has “a lot of great role models in the in the love department” and people he thinks are “couples goals”.
Irwin’s spoken previously about wanting to follow in the footsteps of his dad and sister.
The late Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin, married his US-born mum Terri Irwin, while his sister married Chandler Powell who is also American.
“My mum and dad met when she was this American tourist coming over to Australia, and that’s also how my sister met her husband,” he told People magazine earlier this month.
Big sister Bindi met Powell as teenagers but his parents met in their late 20s, so Robert isn’t rushing it.
“I want to find that [great love] but it’s something you kind of can’t rush,” he told E! News.
“It just has to happen and you gotta be open to that. So, I know she’s out there and I look forward to it.”
Irwin has only been in one public relationship, dating the late Heath Ledger’s niece, Rorie Buckey, for 18 months before they split in February 2024.
