Will Smith recently shared a video on Instagram where he offered an update on Bad Boys 4. The actor says that they are in the “last eight days” of production, and the caption with the video also reads, “Damn, I LOVE this city! Bad Boys 4 is coming fast y’all.”
It’s actually kind of crazy to me that Will Smith managed to actually save his career after physically assaulting Chris Rock on live TV. Careers in Hollywood have crashed and burned over this kind of stuff.
Smith is reprising his role as Detective Lieutenant Mike Lowrey in the movie, while Martin Lawrence is returning to play his partner, Marcus Burnett. The movie also stars Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Paola Núñez, Tasha Smith, John Salley, Eric Dane, DJ Khaled, Ioan Gruffudd, Rhea Seehorn, Joyner Lucas, and Quinn Hemphill.
The movie is being directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallahand they previously talked about the movie saying: “With Jerry Bruckheimer [high-profile producer] movies, we always tend to think about all the action and the crazy explosions. But actually, it’s the characters of his movies that are the reason why the audience loves to watch them. So, we went further and deeper on those character moments. But everything that we learned, in terms of camera movements and just directing on set, we tried to push ourselves and go even further. Sometimes we had some funky moments and funky shots that we didn’t try on the last one because it was maybe a little more classical. This time, we go more funky and more loco on this one.”
Bad Boys 4 is currently scheduled to release on June 14, 2024.
