Fans find it hard to believe that William Shatner is 94 years old. The actor showed off his youthful appearance in his latest social media posts featuring his new Super Bowl ad.
William impressively lost 50 pounds after undergoing hip replacement surgery. He heavily credits his dramatic transformation to making a change in his eating habits, including incorporating more fiber into his diet.
The entertainer recently partnered with Kellogg’s Raisin Bran as a Bran Ambassador for the brand’s Super Bowl commercial.
He shared a video addressing being recently photographed in his car eating cereal, while waiting at the stoplight in Los Angeles. The shot went viral and was a part of the publicity for the brand.
In the clip, not only did he share how vital fiber is for one’s health but he spoke about his personal health journey.
The performer emphasized: “There’s nothing better for you than your health. I know first-hand how health is so important. It’s even a cliche to say ‘so important.’ It’s of the utmost importance in your life. If you don’t have health, you don’t have love, you don’t have ease – you’re permanently disturbed. With health [and] love, and you can appreciate everything and everyone around you too.”
He captioned the clip: “And yes, it was Raisin Bran. #ad.” Fans flocked to the star’s comments to cheer on his ageless appearance. One person wrote: “Bro is almost 95 and looks great, I’m eating raisin bran now.”
Another follower added: “The only thing more awesome than William Shatner driving around while eating a bowl of Raisin Bran is the fact that he’s 35 years older than me with better skin. I mean does this guy ever age?” Another person wrote: “How is Bill Shatner getting younger each time he posts?”
William gave his fans a scare when he was rushed to the hospital for a medical emergency back in September.
The actor’s agent Harry Gold revealed to TMZ that the urgent visit turned out to be a blood pressure-related issue and that he was “100 percent healthy.”
After his emergency visit, he took to Instagram to put an end to any rumors about his health. He wrote: “Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. I overindulged. I thank you all for caring, but I’m perfectly fine. I keep telling you all: don’t trust tabloids or AI!”
Two months later, over Thanksgiving break, he shared a picture of himself showing off his tasty food and shared what he was grateful for.
He wrote: “Happy Thanksgiving everybody…we all talk about blessings at Thanksgiving…I am especially thankful this year as we are blessed beyond measure with health, family and a beautiful gathering. I am wishing you all a blessed day and holiday season. Best, Bill.”
