Season one of WIND BREAKER wrapped on June 27th but there’s good news for fans of the latest anime series from CloverWorks. With season one completed, the studio shared the news that another season of Wind Breaker is happening! Haruka and the rest of Bofurin will will return in 2025 to start even more fights and continue to defend Makochi. Crunchyroll will once again be the streaming home of the series. See the announcement trailer below.
The anime series adapts the manga series by Satoru Nii. It follows the adventures of Haruka Sakura who transfers to Furin High School. The school is known for its students who solve conflicts with brute force. One group of students known as Bofurin protects the town. However, Sakura is only interested in fighting his way to the top! The manga is currently available in print and digital from Kodansha in the United States.
There’s no exact date for the return of the series. The series seems to be another success story from CloverWorks and the studio is behind hit series such My Dress-Up Darling, Spy X Family, and Bocchi the Rock (still waiting on season 2 of that series). Along with Wind Breaker, this Spring saw them produce most the recent season of Black Butler, Black Butler: Public School Arc. However, a series getting a second season renewal announced quickly seems like a good indication that fans enjoyed it.
The Wind Breaker anime seems to have flown under the radar of anime fans in a crowded spring anime season, but his series should appeal to fans who like their delinquents with hearts of gold and who want to see them defend the weak. With all thirteen episodes available to stream on Crunchyroll now, this Summer will be a great time to catch up with the boys from Furin High School.
Wind Breaker season one is currently available to stream on Crunchyroll.
