Zayn Malik has paid tribute to his late former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne again, this time dedicating a song to him while performing in Payne’s hometown of Wolverhampton.
Malik paused his show to do a shout out to the late star, who died in October in Argentina at the age of 31, singing It’s You for Payne.
”We’ve been doing something at the end of the show every night, it’s been dedicated to my brother Liam Payne. Rest in peace,” Malik, 31, said in a fan clip that has gone viral on X.

“I hope you’re seeing this, we’re in your hometown tonight, Wolverhampton, this is for you Liam.”
A week ago, Malik shared a tribute for Payne at his Leeds show, with a special message and tribute for the late singer which appeared on screen in front of fans.
”Liam Payne, 1993-2024, Love you Bro,” the tribute read.

His former One Direction bandmates said they are “devastated” by the news of his passing.

“In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly,” they said in their statement.
“The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us.
“We will miss him terribly. We love you Liam.”

The group, consisting of Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Zaynall paid their respects to Payne by attending his funeral which was held on November 20 in the UK.
Cheryl, who previously had a relationship with the late singer, and Simon Cowell attended the funeral.

In his short years, Payne lived an extraordinary life.
Hailing from Wolverhampton, a city near Birmingham in the UK, he went on to find fame in One Direction.
The late star auditioned twice for The X Factor UK before hitting the big time, once in 2008 and again in 2010. But it was his latter audition at the age of 16 that changed his life forever.
Payne auditioned by singing a cover of Michael Bublé’s Cry Me A River, which blew the judges away.
The panel that year included music mogul Simon Cowell, Natalie Imbruglia and Cheryl, who would be his future partner.
