In 2000, Billy Bob Thornton and Angelina Jolie got married after meeting on the set of Pushing Tin — much to the surprise of their respective partners, Laura Dern and Jonny Lee Miller. Dern, Thornton’s fiancée at the time, was shocked, to say the least, as she was away from their shared home filming a movie: “[I] left our home to work on a movie, and while I was away, my boyfriend got married, and I’ve never heard from him again.” Thornton and Jolie were married from 2000 to 2003.
