Billie Eilish was gifted a pet hamster, whom she named Tomato Bisque Soup (iconic). She built a lil mansion for Tomato, giving her the ultimate treatment of a celebrity bb. The so-called mansion is very tall, with multiple stories, tunnels, wheels, and beds that she switches out for different textures. Nothing but the best for Tomato!!!

Before every Sex and the City episode, Kim Cattrall always came in prepared with a variety of different angles and suggestions to see what would fit better for Samantha and the man she was having sex with. Whether it was the hot priest from Season 4 or the fireman from Season 3, Cattrall always came up with ideas. She said, “In the sex scene with the fireman, I suggested, ‘Let me do an orgasm with the sound of a fire engine, let me try different things.’ You don’t know if one’s going to be too much or not enough, so it’s nice for [the SATC crew] to have a few choices.”
According to Cynthia Nixon, filming sex scenes for Sex and the City wasn’t sexy or realistic in the slightest. She said most of the men who came on the show had never filmed a sex scene before, so things would naturally feel awkward. “Even when [the sex] seems real, it feels very fake because we don’t show an entire lovemaking session,” Nixon said. “It’s quiet, and then you hear, ‘Action!’ and all of a sudden you start screaming.”
And all of the men who ended up filming sex scenes on Sex and the City wore a cup so nothing would actually show onscreen. The cups were labeled “KC” for Kim Cattrall’s initials.

Carrie Fisher and Penny Marshall, who became best friends when they dated Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel in the ’70s, were known for throwing a legendary joint birthday bash every October. They celebrated their birthdays together (both in October, both Libras!) and had some of the wildest experiences with A-List celebrities, like David Bowie and Jack Nicholson.
On The Rosie O’Donnell Show, Fisher and Marshall revealed that David Bowie crashed one of their parties and that the guest list started at 60 people but grew to 400 over the years.

Stevie Nicks revealed on Oprah’s Master Class that she would keep a gram of cocaine in her boot in the ’70s. She took so much cocaine that by 1986, a plastic surgeon told Nicks she had a hole in her nose, and if she took one more “hit of cocaine,” it would be her last ever.
While everyone around her in the ’70s thought she looked beautiful, Stevie Nicks disagrees. The drug addiction was evident in her eyes, that looked like they were “swimming in water.”

Serena Williams already has an art gallery in her Miami property. Instead of creating a formal living room, Williams has an art gallery as soon as you walk into her home. It features works by artists such as Kaws (whose chairs sell for around $100,000–$150,000) and Radcliffe Bailey. Her piece by Bailey, titled “Astro Black,” features an actual rock from the MOON.

In 1997, Whitney Houston took Brandy under her wing when the two iconic singers starred together in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella. Whitney Houston supported Brandy’s career well into the 2010s. The weekend Houston died in 2012, she “crashed” an interview with Brandy, Monica, and Clive Davis during Grammys weekend. and passed a note to Brandy. When Brandy was asked after Whitney’s death what the note said, Brandy revealed, “I’m going to just not say what it was, and just keep it to myself for my own personal reasons. Whitney meant everything to me — she’s the reason that I sing.”

In Ariana Grande’s music video for “God Is a Woman,” Madonna is the voice of God, reciting part of Samuel L. Jackson’s famous speech in Pulp Fiction (which was adapted from the Bible verse Ezekiel 25:17). On The Tonight Show, Grande recalled how the iconic collaboration came about: “I texted her because without Madonna, I wouldn’t be able to make a song like that. She paved the way for all of us, and has been here fighting that fight.”
Ariana Grande continued: “I texted her, ‘Hey, my next single is called ‘God is a Woman,’ I’d love to send it to you and see what you think. There’s a little part in the video that would be perfect for you if you would even consider doing it.'” And do you know what the Queen of Pop’s response was?! “Oh, yeah! I’ll get into the studio tomorrow. I’m in Portugal, so it’s a weird time right now, but I’ll jump in. Do you need me to be there in the video or anything, be on camera?” Grande: “No! You just need to do this voice-over. I’m so grateful that you’d even consider it.”

Missy Elliott was drunk when she filmed this scene for the “Work It” music video because director Dave Meyers accidentally refilled her glass with wine instead of water.
“We shot that take maybe seven times from different angles, so by the time that was over, [Missy] was trashed,” Dave Meyers recalled. “She was so smiley. Then, Janet Jackson came to bless us with her presence, and Missy was talking all kinds of gibberish to her — it was really a good time.”

In 2017, Nicki Minaj insulted up-and-coming Cardi B in her verse on “Swish Swish.” Disrespecting Cardi B in Minaj’s songs became a pattern, even in “MotorSport” (a song both artists were featured on later that year). Cardi refused to be filmed with Minaj in the music video unless she removed the original diss lyrics: “If Cardi B the QB, I’m Nick Lombardi.” Minaj changed her verse, but they were never filmed in the same shot. Things came to a head at the Met Gala in 2018 when Cardi B allegedly threw a shoe at Minaj.
Cardi B posted a video on her Instagram story detailing what actually happened at the Met Gala, calling out Minaj for lying, and all of the drama around “MotorSport.”
Nicki’s mistreatment of Cardi B feels a bit ironic, considering Lil’ Kim criticized Minaj when she was rising to fame in the late 2000s. Lil’ Kim released a diss track in 2011, titled “Black Friday” (a dig at Minaj’s album Pink Friday), accusing Minaj of copying her fashion style, lyrics, and overall persona.

In Destiny’s Child’s “Bootylicious” music video, Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams had Stevie Nicks play guitar in the opening sequence. This was an homage to Nicks, since the group sampled the rock star’s hit “Edge of Seventeen.”

Megan Thee Stallion’s song “Thot Shit” was inspired by the negative reactions she and Cardi B received from their 2020 hit “WAP.” In an interview with Stephen Colbert, Megan Thee Stallion said, “I know the Republicans have had a bad year, and they probably need to take their frustration out somewhere. But, I want to tell them ‘thank you for the streams,’ because without [them], I don’t know if we would’ve been here. I mean, them people crazy.”
So the following summer, the queen of Hot Girl Summer released “Thot Shit.” The music video dramatized Megan Thee Stallion’s take on the negative reactions from “WAP.” In the beginning of the video, she showed a senator leaving hateful comments on one of her videos. Then in the middle of the song, Stallion rapped, “Watchin’ me go through it, still tryna drag me / Actin’ like you winnin’, if you think about it, actually / Are they supportin’ you, or really just attackin’ me? I don’t give a fuck ’bout a blog tryna bash me / I’m the shit, per the Recording Academy.”

On a podcast episode of Good Hang with Amy Poehler, Viola Davis sat in the chair to discuss her iconic EGOT-winning career, childhood, and more. But the one story that stuck out was her experience filming Doubt with the legendary Meryl Streep. Davis revealed to Poehler that she was beyondddddd starstruck by Streep (naturally) because she had followed her entire career. As a result, she was especially awkward around her and didn’t know how to handle being on set with her. And if you’re a fan of Streep, then you sometimes do silly things to impress her, as Davis did.

While some TV actors feel annoyed by being perceived or known only for their most popular role, Lisa Kudrow feels the opposite. When it comes to Phoebe Buffay, the hilarious and kooky character she portrayed on Friends for 10 glorious years, she’s not at all bothered when “normal” people recognize her as Phoebe (even 32 years later).
And another fun fact? Lisa Kudrow filmed The Comeback (2026) on Warner Bros. Stage 24, the same set where she filmed Friends. Full-circle moment? Full-circle moment!

Janelle Monáe is notorious for hosting fun, sexually adventurous courtyard parties, which inspired her 2023 album, The Age of Pleasure.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, she said, “I have a whole spreadsheet with 50 to almost 100 experiences that I’ve had [at these parties]. I wear red lipstick at these parties — I’ve had moments where if me and a girl or an energy want to engage, you’re going to see lipstick.”

Gwen Stefani’s 2004 hit “Hollaback Girl” is actually about her beef with Hole singer Courtney Love. Stefani didn’t use Love’s name in the lyrics of the song, but in a deep-dive behind the the hit, she revealed to Billboard, “I was being bullied by someone and was being called a cheerleader, which was a bad thing! Growing up, that was not cool. I thought I was the opposite of that. I told Pharrell we should write a song about that.”
Gwen Stefani and Pharrell came up with the “B-A-N-A-N-A-S” cheer in the song from their old high school cheerleading days. In a separate interview with Seventeen Magazine the same year “Hollaback Girl” came out, Courtney Love said, “Being famous is just like being in high school. But I’m not interested in being the cheerleader. I’m not interested in being Gwen Stefani. She’s the cheerleader, and I’m out in the smoker shed.”

Marlene Dietrich openly identified as bisexual and allegedly had sex with notable actors like her Shanghai Express costar Anna May Wong. Dietrich referred to her affairs with women as “sewing circles” and created a safe space where lesbian and bisexual women in the Old Hollywood community could be themselves.
Dietrich was also one of the first actors to have a lesbian kiss in a major motion picture in the US. Dietrich’s character in Morocco (1930), Mademoiselle Amy Jolly, kissed a female audience member during one of her performances in a to-die-for black tux and top hat.

For 17 years, Gabrielle Union and Jada Pinkett Smith had a major feud, even though neither actor was sure how it started. In 2018, Smith invited Union on Red Table Talk to clear the air and put the past behind them. At the beginning of the segment, Smith said, “Gabrielle and I were never really girlfriends. We were great associates that at some point dissolved. We don’t even know [what we were mad about]. We got on the phone, and I was like, ‘Gabrielle, what happened?!’ and she’s like, ‘Girl, I don’t know!'”
The two actors had an open conversation, revealing their friendship dynamics with other women and the importance of lifting each other up rather than tearing each other down. “This is my year of growth. In my life, I’m just cleaning up a lot of stuff, and you were one of them,” Smith told Union. “Having this moment with you is helping me in that process.” Union responded with, “I told you on the phone it was like a gorilla hopped off my back that I didn’t know was there.” They ended their conversation on good terms, with Smith saying, “I hope from here on out that we have a bond, and you know you can call on me. Thank you for being open to this.”

Margot Robbie practices US accents for certain movies by looking up people on YouTube and mimicking them for her characters, like Naomi Lapaglia in The Wolf of Wall Street (2013).
22.
Speaking of The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), the famous fight scene where Margot (Naomi) makes fun of Leo’s (Jordan’s) reaction was 100% improvised. Margot said in an interview with Screenplayed that Leo’s friend, who was on set that day, encouraged her to use the “Who? Who?” line. Margot then leaned into that legendary Brooklyn accent of hers and made movie history!!!

And, in 2015, Carol was released to critical acclaim and sparked a big conversation on the importance of telling celebratory love stories between women. While promoting the movie, Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara were constantly asked how they developed their onscreen chemistry, especially in their sex scenes. At BFI London’s Film Festival, Mara said, “It was easy for me to feel chemistry towards Cate [because] my character spent much of the film in awe of this woman and enamored with her. That was easy for me to embody.”
The second sex scene in the film between Cate Blanchett (Carol) and Rooney Mara (Therese) was one of the first scenes the actors shot together. Blanchett revealed in a Q&A that once they got on set, they learned there were bed bugs in the hotel room, so initially, it was a difficult day shooting in the nude. But, ultimately, Blanchett thought it was a moving experience: “The consummation of their relationship is really important,” Blanchett told BFI London. “We talked about the scene, and there’s a great sense of trust between Rooney and me.”
Cate Blanchett went on to describe how powerful it was to film the sex scene with Rooney Mara, given how isolated their characters were in the film leading up to that moment. She said, “They go through a lot of processing these volcanic feelings independent of one another, so frankly, it was a relief to do these scenes with Rooney. It’s like, ‘Finally, we get to be together.'”
