Hayley Williams has released the first EP under her new project Power Snatch with longtime collaborator Daniel James. EP1, which is out now via Bandcamp, includes “DMs,” “DUH,” and “HOLE IN THE CEILING.” The EP spans styles from indie to shoegaze, something she explored on her most recent solo album, Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party.
The EP drops after Williams and James debuted the project last week on Apple Music 1, premiering the track “Assignment.” Shortly after, fans unearthed an Instagram account under the same name that posted an unreleased track and found the Power Snatch Bandcamp.

Williams and James worked together on the critically acclaimed album Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party. Now, with Power Snatch, the pair is extending their creative partnership.
“I do worry sometimes that with Paramore, I was like, “Well, what else can we fucking do?” The band keeps growing and I don’t know what to do about that,” Williams said during her AP Artist of the Year interview. “Does it feel like pressure? Yes and no. It’s exciting because you want to leave behind a legacy of all are welcome and it’s a good time, but I don’t know. With my music, there’s a lot of truth in me saying, “I would like this to be the last Hayley Williams album.
“I’m not really interested in continuing to see my name in lights. I’m more interested in the stuff that happens behind the scenes, even with other artists, being more creative in that way, and getting to help in that way. There’s so much more that can be done and so much more fulfillment that happens behind the spotlight of it all.”
