After a report surfaced today that The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice‘s daughter Milania, 20, was arrested for assault, Reality Blurb exclusively spoke to an insider who addressed some recent conflict Milania was experiencing at home.
Specifically, there has been chatter that Milania was kicked out of her family house, but multiple insiders insisted it’s not an accurate depiction of what went on.
“There have been issues with Milania at home,” the sources explained about the 20-year-old who is currently majoring in advertising and public relations at the University of Tampa. “But it’s not what it’s being made out to be.”
“Milania came home from Miami prior to her finals because she was having some stress from school,” they continued. “She did not want to return due to all the stress she felt she was under. Teresa gave her a dose of tough love and told her she had to go back to school and it wasn’t an option.”
“This is where the rumor came from that she was kicked out but it’s simply not true,” an insider added.
As previously reported, Milania was charged on May 14 with “simple assault” and “purposely/ knowingly causing a bodily injury.”
A court spokesperson shared that the case had been classified as domestic violence. A hearing was held on May 19, and no plea was entered.
When it comes to her arrest, an insider told Reality Blurb it stemmed from an “explosive” family fight during which one of her sisters decided to call the cops.
“There was so much going on that her sister ended up pulling the trigger to call the cops on her,” they added. “It was out of fear for people’s safety and for the fact that Milania was going at multiple people.”
To date, Milania, Bravo, and Teresa have yet to comment on the incident, and no further details have emerged.
Last month, Reality Blurb reported that Milania was showing off a new inner-lip tattoo just days before this alleged assault took place.
RHONJ‘s 15th season is currently filming, so it’s unlikely Teresa will be able to avoid discussing this on camera.
