A deputy from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, which is working on the Nancy Guthrie abduction case, got the boot after being arrested on — you won’t believe it — a KIDNAPPING charge! OMG!
However, it is unrelated to the disappearance of Savannah Guthrie‘s mother. We are making that clear from the start, but we know this will set off the conspiracy theorists regardless. According to KOLD-TV, 22-year-old Travis Reynolds was taken into custody by the Tucson Police Department on Thursday. He appeared in court the following day, where a judge set his bond at $200,000.

During the same hearing, prosecutors claimed an alleged female victim told law enforcement that she is afraid of Reynolds due to his job and the “power dynamic” between them. She also may not have been the only one. They alleged the incident might have happened before. An interim complaint obtained by KOLD-TV claimed that while transporting the woman to Pima County Jail in Arizona, the former deputy called her “hot” before sharing a vape pen with her and offering to “help with her case.” When she asked him how, he allegedly told her “he would not go to court” but “stated they could go to a hotel and have sex.”
WTF!
The woman claimed Reynolds showed her sexually explicit videos, and when she asked to be taken inside the jail, he refused — and kept her in the car for a bit. The interim complaint stated that “she had never been arrested before and did not know the procedural steps, and was unsure what was taking so long,” adding:
“She said she saw multiple officers coming and going with their arrestees, and she was wondering why she was still in the vehicle.”
The alleged victim said Reynolds “eventually got her out of the vehicle” and demanded she show him her breasts before bringing her into the station. She allegedly complied, lifting her shirt to expose her bra. That’s when the deputy finally “removed her from the vehicle and brought her inside the jail.”
KOLD-TV reported video surveillance from the Pima County Jail confirmed parts of the account of the incident. Reynolds also said in the complaint that he “may or may not have been involved in showing her a video of sexual acts,” and “he may or may not have been involved in the discussion of having sex at a hotel.”

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed Reynolds has been fired. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on April 6.
