A recently surfaced Hasbro product listing has shed light on Peter Parker’s evolved role in the upcoming Marvel Studios movie Spider-Man: Brand New Day, revealing a hero who now also relies squarely on his own intellect.

The official description accompanying Hasbro’s Marvel Legends Spider-Man figure from Spider-Man: Brand New Day states: “Spider-Man is back in action keeping New York City safe. An anonymous hero and brilliant scientist, Peter Parker creates cutting-edge technology and builds his own suit.”
Priced at $27.99, the 6-inch scale figure features a premium movie-inspired design, multiple points of articulation, six accessories, including alternate hands and web pieces. The design aligns with the suit shown in the recent trailer for the Marvel movie.
This description is a change from prior MCU installments, where Parker’s suits and gadgets were largely inherited or upgraded through Tony Stark’s resources. In Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the character is allegedly positioned as an independent inventor operating without institutional backing.
The Hasbro reveal also exposed two additional plot elements through a companion Hulk figure in the same merchandise line. The listing confirms Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner will transform into a savage Hulk in the film, abandoning the integrated “Smart Hulk” persona last seen in She-Hulk.
