Show Me the Body stopped by Spotify’s Live Room to play a few songs, including a cover of Charli xcx’s “Rock Music.”
Putting their own gritty spin on the track, the take replaces its electronic elements with distorted bass and banjo, with vocalist Julian Cashwan Pratt’s harsher delivery providing a stark contrast to the original’s ironic detachment.

When Charli xcx released “Rock Music,” she admitted that it isn’t actually a rock song. “A video of me making a song called ‘rock music’ that is not actually rock music,” she said, “…Which is funny because I never said I was making a rock album.”
