Steve Lacy has dropped “Mercury,” the lead single from his forthcoming album. “Mercury” is Lacy’s first monitor since 2019.
The artist’s sophomore album, Gemini Rights, is about to launch this summer season through RCA Data. It serves because the follow-up to his 2019 debut document, Apollo XXI.

On “Mercury,” Lacy channels a bossa-nova sound and melds it together with his regular funk-filled tendencies. A mellow acoustic guitar compels listeners to sway from side to side. Lacy wrote, produced and carried out the monitor himself.
The video sees Lacy trapped in a cage of fences, strolling about as a wolf stalks him from simply outdoors his jail. As soon as the wolf infiltrates Lacy’s enclosure, the singer seems to exist in a number of locations without delay.
