Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham has given his ideas on the passing of bandmate Christine McVie, remembering their 40 years of constructing music collectively.
“Christine McVie’s sudden passing is profoundly heartbreaking. Not solely had been she and I a part of the magical household of Fleetwood Mac, to me Christine was a musical comrade, a buddy, a soul mate, a sister,” Buckingham wrote on Instagram Thursday.
“For over 4 a long time, we helped one another create a lovely physique of labor and a long-lasting legacy that continues to resonate as we speak,” he continued, including that he feels “very fortunate to have identified her.”
Buckingham, famous that McVie’s “spirit will reside on” by means of the group’s music and her legacy.
McVie died Wednesday from what was termed “a brief sickness.” She was 79 years outdated
“There are not any phrases to explain the unhappiness on the passing of Christine McVie,” the band wrote in a statement on Twitter Wednesday.
“She was actually one-of-a-kind, particular and proficient past measure. She was the perfect musician anybody may have of their band and the perfect buddy anybody may have of their life.”
McVie joined Fleetwood Mac in 1970. She stop in 1998, however rejoined in 2014.
