Hugh Jackman has been feeding us all some delicious behind-the-scenes anecdotes from his time filming Deadpool & Wolverine.
It’s no secret the Australian actor, 55, needed to bulk up considerably for his role as the iconic superhero, but he’s now revealed just how much effort that took.
Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jackman said he ate a whopping 6,000 calories per day to prepare for his return as Wolverine.
When Fallon joked that Jackman needed to feast on “steamed rocks” to keep in shape, the actor went into detail about his diet.
“It’s 6,000 calories, and it’s not the calories you necessarily want. Like, half a pizza is 6,000 calories,” Jackman explained.
“But no, this is chicken, and it’s tilapia and beans. Tilapia and beans. I don’t know why tilapia. It must be some fish that is lean, and green beans.”
