The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills 16th season is currently in production.
While it was recently reported that Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles star Tracy Tutor would be joining the cast, tonight another big name joining the show was revealed.
According to TMZ, famous actress and ex-Scientology member turned activist Leah Remini is joining the hit franchise and will be holding a diamond.
Production sources confirmed the news to the outlet, making Leah, 56, one of the biggest names in Hollywood to ever join a Housewives franchise.
Her place in Hollywood rose after her breakout role on The King of Queens on CBS. The sitcom aired from 1998 to 2007.
Leah released a book in 2015 entitled Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology.
Prior to Leah exiting the controversial religion, she was one of their more prominent members. In 2013, she departed the Church after approximately 30-35 years in it.
In 2016, Leah debuted a show on A&E entitled Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath. The show examined the alleged abuses and harmful practices of the church.
As aforementioned, a week ago, Tracy confirmed she was joining the RHOBH cast on her Instagram.
“Well… the secret’s officially out,” she wrote. “I’m joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and I could not be more excited for this next chapter.”
“Beverly Hills is home. I’ve raised my girls here, built my career here, and now apparently I’ve decided to let you all even further into my life,” the 51-year-old continued. “Excited? Very. Nervous? A little. Likely to get into some trouble? Absolutely. So what’s left to say but, let’s f*cking go.”
With both Tracy and Leah being spitfires, season 16 of RHOBH is shaping up to potentially be one for the record books.
To date, Leah has not commented on the report of her joining RHOBH.
