Hollywood star Adan Canto has died aged 42 after a private battle with appendiceal cancer, Deadline has reported. He was 42.
Canto was known for his role as Vice President-elect Aaron Shore in series Designated Survivor and most recently starred in drama series The Cleaning Lady.
Canto’s X-Men co-star, Halle Berry, honoured him with a touching tribute shared to her Instagram.
Her post was captioned, “I don’t have the words just yet…. but my dear sweet friend Adan just gained his wings. Forever, forever in my heart ?️ ?.”

The pair had most recently worked on the drama Bruised, Berry’s 2020 directorial debut and were co-stars in X-Men: Days of Future Past.
“Adan had a depth of spirit that few truly knew. Those who glimpsed it were changed forever,” his representatives said, according to the publication.
“He will be greatly missed by so many.”
According to Deadline, Canto was planning to rejoin the cast of The Cleaning Lady to film season three, after he was unable to join production last month due to his health.
The show will reportedly pay tribute to Canto in the next season.

Appendiceal cancer is cancer of the appendix. Symptoms include bloating, pain, nausea and vomiting.
He is survived by his wife Stephanie Ann Canto and their children Roman, three, and Eve Josephine, one.

Canto starred on Designated Survivor as Aaron Shore and the show ran from 2016 – 2019.
It also starred the likes of Keifer Sutherland and Italia Ricci.
The Mexican-born actor also appeared in X-Men: Days of Future Past and The Following.
He started his career in music and found success is Mexico City, before turning to acting.
