Actor Alan Scarfe, who was known for his roles in Double Impact, Lethal Weapon 3 and Seven Days, has died. He was 77.
His family announced the British-Canadian actor, director and author died “peacefully on April 28” from colon cancer.
Scarfe was at his home in Longueuil, Quebec at the time.

While he’s likely best known for his major Hollywood roles, Scarfe forged an impressive decades-long career as a multi-talented artist.
A classically trained actor, having attended the prestigious London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, Scarfe began his career on stage, performing in major roles across Europe, Canada and the United States.
He also led several productions in the capacity of stage director, including the works of Shakespeare and Arthur Miller.

In 1989, he moved to Los Angeles with his family and began to pursue a career on the big screen.
His Hollywood credits include Lethal Weapon 3, alongside Mel Gibson, and Double Impact, alongside Jean-Claude Van Damme. He also appeared in the UPN series Seven Days and as two separate characters in the Star Trek franchise.
Later in his career, Scarfe found a knack for writing and began to put pen to paper.
He published his first novel The Revelation of Jack the Ripper in 2017 and later published three more novels titled The Carnivore Trilogy.

The multi-hyphenate artist received several accolades throughout his time including the 1985 Genie Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting role for his role in The Bay Boy. His debut novel also won him the Best Indi Book Award (BIBA) in 2019.
Outside of work, Scarfe was married to his second wife Barbara March for 40 years before she passed in 2019.
His first wife was actress Sara Botsford.
He is survived by his two children Antonia (Tosia) and Jonathan, his son-in-law Austin and two grandchildren Kai and Hunter.
