All four seasons of a crime thriller featuring one of Heated Rivalry’s stars will arrive on Amazon Prime Video this month. The show follows a homicide detective who uses her rare medical condition to help solve crimes.
Unforgettable season 1 to 4 to stream on Prime Video this month
Seasons 1-4 of the thriller series Unforgettable will arrive on Amazon Prime Video on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
The show centers on Carrie Wells, a former Syracuse detective, who joins the NYPD’s Queens homicide unit at the request of her ex-partner and boyfriend, Al Burns. She uses her hyperthymesia, a condition that allows her to remember everything, to help solve cases. Although this ability helps solve crimes, Carrie struggles to remember one thing: the day her sister was murdered.
It is based on J. Robert Lennon’s 2008 short story The Rememberer. Ed Redlich and John Bellucci developed the show for television. It’s cast features Poppy Montgomery as Carrie, Dylan Walsh as Al, Michael Gaston as Mike, James Hiroyuki Liao as Jay Lee, and Kevin Rankin as Roe Sanders, among others.
Unforgettable premiered on CBS in September 2011. At the end of Season 1 in May 2012, CBS canceled it, only to reverse its decision a month later, per Deadline. After Season 3 ended in September 2014, CBS canceled it for a second time. However, A&E network picked it up for a fourth season and aired it in November 2015. In February 2016, A&E canceled the show, ending it on a massive cliffhanger.
Critically, the show faced mixed-to-negative reception. On Rotten Tomatoes, only the first season has a Tomatometer score, which currently stands at 40%. Meanwhile, the average user rating across all four seasons is at 51%. The show received a similar low rating on Metacritic. There, Season 1 currently has a score of 59 from 23 critics and 5.4 from 86 users.
Interestingly, actress Marilu Henner was one of the show’s consultants, as she has hyperthymesia herself. Furthermore, she made a brief cameo in Season 1 as Carrie’s aunt, suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.
