Shannon Elizabeth has revealed how successful her move to OnlyFans has been since launching her account in April. The American Pie star says she earned more than $1 million within her first nine days on the platform. She also explained how the unexpected financial success has changed her approach to work.
Acting projects are not a financial necessity for Shannon Elizabeth now
Shannon Elizabeth says the income from her OnlyFans account has given her enough financial security to be more selective about acting roles. The actress launched the account in April and said it generated more than $1 million within nine days.
“I crossed $1 million in nine days,” Elizabeth told Variety. She added, “It was really surprising, and I was honored that my fans came out and supported me. I had no idea what to expect, and the response has been really amazing.” The actress also said she has enjoyed communicating with subscribers since joining the platform.
She noted that OnlyFans is also attracting more actors and does not have to be limited to adult entertainment. “There are a bunch of actors that have recently gotten on, and we’re starting to pull it back to what it was meant to be. It doesn’t have to be only for adult entertainment. It can be whatever you want it to be,” Elizabeth explained.
The actress said she had relied mainly on her savings for the past decade because she was not as focused on work. She said, “For the last ten years I’ve been living off of my savings for the most part because I haven’t been as focused on work.” Her recent earnings have changed that situation and reduced the financial pressure.
Elizabeth added, “To be able to get myself back to the point where I’m not struggling and am able to choose projects because I like them and not because I need the money — it’s definitely giving me more freedom to do that.”
