Amira Elfeky has announced her debut album, It Was Only a Dream, out Nov. 13 via Anemoia Records/Atlantic Records.
Following the release of her latest single “Breakdown,” Elfeky described making the album for over a year, spending part of her time creating in solitude and saying the full-length explores a concept where the dream version of Amira and reality Amira collide as one.

“It is a humbling realization when you see the gap between who you are in your dreams and who you show to the world,” she says. “In your imagination, the stakes are zero and you move fearlessly. I craved that fearless version of myself to be my real life. Pushing this project into reality was my way of breaking free from the shackles I placed on myself. It reminded me that fear is often something we construct on our own.”
