Phoebe Bridgers has reunited with boygenius bandmates Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus for a stripped-back performance at New York’s Cherry Lane Theatre, including an acoustic rendition of “On Video,” her new original song for the A24 film PRIMETIME.
The three-song set is part of Sound Check at Cherry Lane Theatre, a performance series produced by A24, A24 Music and Cherry Lane Theatre. Alongside “On Video,” performed with longtime producer Ethan Gruska, Bridgers played “Haunted” and “Lost Boys” with boygenius mates Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker. The trio last performed together on camera during Saturday Night Live in November 2023.
The Cherry Lane session joins previous Sound Check performances from Tame Impala and Blood Orange. All installments are available on A24’s YouTube channel.
Bridgers makes her acting debut in PRIMETIME, directed by Lance Oppenheim. “On Video” plays over the film’s end credits, extending the sound of Ari Balouzian’s noir-inspired score into the movie’s closing moments. The track also appears on the official PRIMETIME soundtrack.
Starring Robert Pattinson as To Catch a Predator host Chris Hansen, PRIMETIME is now playing in U.S. theaters, with Australian cinemas set to open the film on Oct. 29 and the U.K. release scheduled for Oct. 30.
Bridgers is in the midst of her phone-free arena tour in support of her latest album, Lost Weekend, which visits Charlotte, N.C. tonight (Oct. 9). She’s also already been announced as one of the headliners for the Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona in June 2027.
