Amy Schumer has confirmed that she has split with her husband of seven years via an Instagram post.
Schumer, 44, announced her split from Chris Fischer, 45, in a casually worded Instagram post, accompanied by a photo of them sitting side-by-side on the train.
“Blah blah blah,” the post starts.
“Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years.
“We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son. We would appreciate people respecting our privacy at this time.”
The post then goes on to try and make light of the situation, addressing recent rumours that the pair had split because the actress had “gotten skinny.”
“blah blah blah not (because) I dropped some lbs and thought I could bag s basket and not because he’s a hot Janlmes beard award winning chef who can still pull some hot tail,” the post continues.

“Amicable and all love and respect! Family forever.”
The pair were married in 2019, but have been plagued with break-up rumours ever since.
Rumours first started to swirl when Fischer gave his wife a birthday cake that had “I’m leaving you,” written on it as a joke.
Schumer posted a video of the incident to her Instagram.
In 2023, more chatter about the couple started when they spent their summer vacationing apart.
Schumer was spotted in Europe with fellow comedian Jerry Seinfeld and his wife Jessica, with Fischer nowhere to be seen.
In the last few weeks leading up to the split, the I Feel Pretty actress posted photos showing off her dramatic weight loss journey, and shared mysteriously cryptic updates about her relationship.
She also posted a photo to Instagram without her wedding ring on, sparking further speculation.

“Whatever ends up happening with me and Chris has nothing to do with weight loss or autism,” she wrote at the time, referencing her new figure and her husband’s autism diagnosis.
“Fingers crossed we make it through. He’s the best.”
The post has been scrubbed from her socials.
